Good clothes not to be cold in this winter | Pkbazaar.pk Onine Shopping in Pakistan
In Quebec, we have the chance (yes, yes) to have a wonderful white winter that allows us to enjoy all the joys of this season ... provided we have dressed accordingly! Even if they lack light and temperature become painful to bear after a few months, absolutely everyone should be able to love winter, at least a little bit. The secret lies, of course, in the way one is dressed to deal with the elements. Here are our tips for choosing the right clothes.
The coat
This is, of course, the most important piece of our winter wardrobe ... There are good coats of urban style, sports or casual and prices can go up to close to $ 1000 for a good brand coat ... But rest assured you immediately, it is not necessary to shell so much not to be cold! It can be found quite convenient in discount stores and supermarkets. The important thing when choosing a coat is to make sure it meets our needs. We will not choose the same thing to spend a day skiing or if our outings are limited to walking a few minutes between the house, the bus stop, the metro station, and the workplace! The ideal coat must, therefore:- Be down (better than the feather) if you stay outside for a long time. The wool, particularly elegant for city coats, is suitable for people who have an urban lifestyle ... but does not keep warm for a long time.
- There are also sport jackets lined with fleece or stuffed with "thermolite", a high-performance synthetic material.
- A coat stuffed with synthetic material alone (other than the thermolite) is not hot enough, but a mix between synthetic wool and down does the trick, for less.
- The importance of the hood: a good winter coat must be equipped with a cap (removable or not, as desired) which keeps the neck warm when it is very cold, moves forward enough to avoid the snow falling in the eyes and keep your ears warm.
- In cold weather, you will appreciate that the outer layer is waterproof and windproof!
- The coats that arrive at mid-thigh are preferable because they leave you free of your movements (we want to walk quickly when it's cold) and also warm the lower body. Short coats are to be avoided.
- Make sure that the cuffs are tightening, so as not to shudder when the wind rushes into the coat to the shoulders!
Boots
The second most important element of your winter well-being is the famous boots. They must be:
- Rising, to avoid drafts on the ankles.
- Adjustable, to allow you to insert your pants as needed.
- With crampons or reliefs well marked not to slip on ice patches (note that even with cleated boots, you slip at least once per winter is an unwritten law!)
- With thick soles: so that the soles of the feet are as far as possible from the ground.
Accessories: hat, mittens, scarf, etc.
With a good coat and adequate boots, you will survive the winter of Quebec ... but you will not appreciate it at its fair value! For this, you must also protect other parts of your body with:
Mittens
They are much more comfortable than gloves with separate fingers and allow the but to stay warm ... For those who are afraid of having to remove them constantly (to look for car keys, bus cards, etc.) choose mittens with flaps: you will have the best of both worlds. Mittens lined with wool or synthetic fur are perfect. If you plan to play in the snow, make sure the outer layer is made of waterproof material.
Hat
The famous hat, or toque as we say at home, that teens and a lot of fashionistas are leaving because they make us look "stupid" ... Well, this hat is good! It is even essential if we do not want to start shouting alone that we hate the winter and we want to move to the Caribbean, right now!
Seriously, you've all heard it at least once in your life: 90% of the heat is escaping through your head. This statistic may not be scientifically proven, but the basic idea is good: when the head is not covered, it is cold! There are toques in all styles, and even that of the 1 dollar store is better than nothing at all. The best are lined with synthetic fur (because we love animals) or even fleece.
And if you really can not bring yourself to wear a hat, choose at least a fleece headband or earmuffs. It is important!
The scarf
It is a little less important when you have a coat that goes up high or wears a turtleneck, and you do not have to face the elements for long periods of time ... But the advantage of a good scarf, c it is "blocking" drafts that would infiltrate your coat. It is also essential to cover your mouth and nose on cold days.
Choose it in wool (but sometimes, it "spades") or in polar. And prefer a very long scarf that you can wrap at least twice (or three) around your neck.
Some extra tips
Remember that to be comfortable in your winter clothes, you must choose the right size ... Logic! The coat and boots should not be too tight, because depending on the vagaries of temperature, you may need to add one or two sweaters or a pair of additional woolen socks. Think about it!
Remember also that during the coldest days, the method of "onion peel" (or overlay has long been proven.) Do not hesitate to wear under your coat a cotton camisole, a thin sweater (cotton still ) long sleeve, then your "big" sweater and finally your coat.
For the lower part of the body, long underwear or tights under the pants are also recommended, and a large pair of woolen stockings and more will prevent your toes from freezing and falling (it seems that it happens sometimes!).
We wish you all a good winter!
